On the 8th, Dongguk University WISE Campus invited Hong Chang-jun, the president of the Korean Children’s ARVR Education Association, to hold a ‘Gyeongju-type World Citizenship Education Invitation Lecture’ sponsored by Gyeongju City at the Dongguk University WISE Campus Wonhyo Hall Global Esis Hall.
President Hong Chang-jun gave a lecture on the topic of ‘Gyeongju-type World Citizenship Education Using AI/XR: Focusing on Gyeongju City Policy Suggestions’ and about 150 people, including Gyeongju citizens, Dongguk University WISE Campus faculty and students, participated in the lecture. After the lecture, President Hong Chang-jun took time to answer questions from Gyeongju citizens and attendees.
President Hong Chang-jun said, “The era of making AI is already over. Now is the era of Operating, and XR can provide 270 times higher learning effects than games in three dimensions, and it will also provide high-quality education. Through this, we must lead and guide the coming era.”
‘Gyeongju-type Global Citizenship Education’ is a series of premium liberal arts lectures planned by the Dongguk University WISE Campus Global Convergence Research Institute as part of a government-academic cooperation project with Gyeongju City, and will be held every month.
Professor Lee Young-chan of the Dongguk University WISE Campus Global Convergence Research Institute said, “We will provide lectures on key topics related to global citizenship, such as cultural diversity, sustainable development goals, and international development cooperation, to Gyeongju citizens to help them acquire the qualities of responsible global citizens, and we hope to create a model for fostering local talent and global specialization in Gyeongju.”
